Lyndsey Nelson Founder and Clinical Director

Meet Lyndsey

Lyndsey offers a rare blend of lived high-performance experience and sophisticated clinical training. Having spent her early childhood abroad before settling in the Bay Area, she developed an enduring appreciation for cultural depth, perspective, and meaningful connection.

As a former competitive classical ballet dancer who sustained academic distinction, Lyndsey understands firsthand the discipline, ambition, and internal pressure that often accompany excellence. Her experience within elite artistic and academic environments allows her to deeply resonate with individuals who are driven, accomplished, and accustomed to holding themselves to exceptional standards.

She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with honors and has served in respected public and private institutions, including The Harker School, Burbank Unified, and Campbell Unified School Districts. Through her work with high-achieving students, professionals, and families, she recognized a consistent truth: outward success often masks unseen stress, isolation, and perfectionistic strain.

Life Light Counseling was intentionally created as a discreet, boutique practice for those who value privacy, depth, and elevated care. Lyndsey’s approach is thoughtful, attuned, and highly personalized—supporting clients in sustaining excellence while cultivating inner steadiness, clarity, and refined emotional wellbeing.

Lyndsey is a licensed marriage and family therapist #113189 and Founder of Life Light Counseling.
