Susan “Susie” Pollard, LMFT#139360

Susie teaches clients skills to help them tackle challenges using techniques from solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and a strengths-based approach. Susie specializes in supporting youth and young adults with navigating relationships, finding spaces that provide feelings of belonging and self-confidence, and decreasing stress around school or work. Her experience using a gender-affirming approach with trans and gender non-binaryclients prepared her to help others overcome adversity and explore their identities. Before joining Life Light Counseling, Susie worked in private practice in San Luis Obispo and at community agencies with low-income adults, youth, and families. As well as on site therapist at public schools in the Bay Area, including Gunn High School in Palo Alto. She received her Masters degree at Cal Poly State San Luis Obispo.

Susie hopes that when clients leave the office, they feel empowered and even inspire others to grow.

In her free time, Susie spends time with her dog, plays tennis, and watches bad movies.
